Jewell and Helen Ellerman and Connie Locke had lunch at Madalyn’s Kitchen Tuesday, Sept. 10, then they went to Nevada for Jewell’s check up with the doctor for her knee.
Connie Locke visited Mary Ellen Maus at Moore Few Care Center in Nevada Monday, Sept. 9. It was Mary Ellen’s 86th birthday that day. While Connie was in Nevada, she visited her parents, Ben and Gloria Locke. She had dinner with them Sunday, Sept. 15.
Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, Sept. 15 were Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Jeanie O’Brien, Ruth Ijams, Frances Lewis, Gary Joe and Gayle Dunn, Eternity Dunn and Brent Baughn. Lela Thomas of El Dorado Springs ate with them.
Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 15. Brother Cliff Bennett’s sermon “Does God Still Give Vision Today” taken from Geneses 18:1-18.
Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday, Sept. 15. Lawrence Cripps from the Horton and Metz United Methodist Churches was the speaker and Pastor Connie Locke went to Metz and Horton to give Communion. Lawrence’s sermon “Excuses” was taken from Luke 14:16-24. Lawrence played a special on the piano “Do You Know My Jesus.” Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien led the lesson “Knowledge of God and Evil” taken from Genesis 3:8b-17.
The Schell City/Harwood United Methodist Women will work in the Schell City United Methodist Church basement getting ready for their fall sale the second weekend in October.
