El Dorado Springs Elementary School will host a Scholastic Book Fair Sept. 23 – Oct. 4. Funds raised will help purchase materials for the Elementary Library. Families, faculty and the community are invited to attend this fun reading event that helps inspire children to become lifelong readers.

The Book Fair will feature a special family evening from 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26. In addition, we’ll keep the fair open late (‘til 7:30 p.m.) on Wednesday, Oct. 2, for the “Last Chance Spy and Buy.”

The Book Fair will be open daily from 8:00-3:00 (during school hours) in the El Dorado Springs Elementary Library; 901 S. Grand.

The Book Fair will offer specially priced books and educational products, including popular series, award-winning titles, new releases, adult bestsellers and other great reads from more than 100 publishers.

Book Fair customers may help the school build classroom libraries by purchasing books through the Classroom Wish List program. In addition, the Book Fair will feature the All for BooksTM program, where kids can share the thrill of reading by donating loose change to purchase books from the Book Fair for the Elementary Library. Scholastic matches monetary donations with a donation of up to one million books, which go to national non-profit organizations dedicated to helping families in need, such as the Kids in Distressed Situations and Kids In Need Foundation.

Remember that if you send money with your child for book fair shopping, sales tax is added to the price. We’re excited about the chance to offer book shopping to our community.
