Mt. Zion Home Bible study group met in the home of Tom and Beverly Pelkey Tuesday at 7 p.m. with nine present to study the Bible. We meet every 2nd Tuesday at Joela’s home. We invite you to join us. Call Tom 660-598-0477.
Mt. Zion Club met Wednesday, Sept.. 18, in the home of Joela Dains for an afternoon meeting. Roll call was –“What I admire about the person to my left.” Marge gave a report on Noah’s wife from Genesis 6:1-22. Her name was never mentioned in the Bible, but she was a faithful companion to her husband. Beverly gave the treasurer's report and Mabel read a thank you note from Jane Constelle for flower donation. Joela gave the history of the club. We played Pantry Bingo for entertainment and enjoyed the delicious refreshments Joela had prepared. Next meeting will be Oct. 16, at the home of Beverly Pelkey. Mark your calendars and plan to attend.
Sorry to report Grace Dutcher's home in Mongraw Spring burned.
The Rich Hill Methodist women invited the Rockville Methodist Women to join them for lunch and program at their church. Ladies attending from Rockville were Tommie Gragg, Bonnie Heiserman and Lynn Craig, a good time was had.
Several Quilting ladies enjoyed dinner with Louise Gregg and Louise did plug in the coffee pot not the toaster to make coffee this time. Everyone had a very enjoyable afternoon.

Dixie Peterson, Stacy Griffith and Marge Zink kept a doctor's appointment in Lee Summit. All getting a good report.
Stanley and Marge Zink and Stacy Griffith attended the Jack Cooper annual picnic Saturday at Lagacy Park in Lee’s Summit. It was a very nice day to renew friendships and enjoy all the good food.
Howard and Dixie Peterson enjoyed supper Saturday night al the Crawford Deer Camp visiting with Mitch, Jodi, Tucker and Kent Crawford, Rick and Michelle George and Beth.
June Marshall has been busy at home, made applesauce, finished another project; ran errands and went shopping.
Julia Snethen had surgery on her elbow and more tests, getting some good news. We wish her a speedy recovery.
Congratulations to Kenny and LuAnn Taylor who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday at the Park Building in Appleton City many friends and family attended, Bob and Sheri Suster from this area.
