Feeling chili?

The 9th Annual SCRG Chili Cook-off is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, on Spring Street in El Dorado Springs. This year’s theme is “It’s Chili in Spring City.”

The Wayside Museum will start the day at 7 a.m. with a breakfast of biscuits and sausage. At 8 a.m., the 45th Arts and Crafts Fair will open in the Old Community Building. Cookers will be set up and cooking by 9 a.m. At 9:30 the Nine Wonders Optimist Club will hold at Trike-A-Thon for St. Jude’s in the Civic Center Parking Lot. At 11 a.m. “Get a Jump On Christmas,” a bazaar of home based businesses will start their event in the Civic Center.

The public is invited to taste and vote on chili at 11:30 and the Spring Water Shootout, a pong game of skill, begins at the Leeper Building at noon.

It’s a busy day and you won’t want to miss a bit of it.
