The Opera House Arts Council is proud to present another benefit for raising funds to reopen the beautiful Opera House Theatre in downtown El Dorado Springs. Mark your calendars for 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the theatre.

Plans are being finalized for a night of down-home entertainment and a fun filled evening with the Country Variety Show. The four members of the original Opera House Theatre Country Variety show are all scheduled to return that evening along with a lot of other local favorites.

The original members scheduled to perform that evening are Mr. Tim Louderback who will be returning home from Joplin that evening to help us out, Ms. Tiffany Esry McGuirk, Ginelle Esry and Paula Newman. Along with that cast how about welcoming home our town former Miss Missouri, Miss Sydney Friar, that evening on our stage along with the young and talented Miss Browning Kenney. Plan on seeing members of the Circle S Opry Band including the Singing Vet Brian Collins, Ron Swopes, Jack Wallace, Fiddlin’ Gary Johnston, Justin Wallace, Paula Newman and Ginelle Esry.

Donations are $10 per ticket. Proceeds from the evening will be used to help purchase the new digital projector needed to be able to show movies again at the theatre. Get your tickets in advance at Allison’s Quick Lube or contact Paula Newman at 296-5990.

We need to raise $60,000 to purchase the new projector. All donations are appreciated.
