MISS EL DORADO SPRINGS – Hope Elizabeth Creekmore, 17, represented her school and city at the 53rd Black Walnut Festival Queen Contest in Stockton on Saturday, Sept. 28. Inclement weather moved the pageant from the pavilion in the Park to the High School gym where the audience was entertained by Kamber Cain. One of the judges for the evening was former Miss Cedar County Lauren Alumbaugh Wilkins.
But, even though Hope’s answer to her question, “If you were a color what color would it be?” impressed Emcee Ron Hearst of KY 3 TV, (she answered that she wouldn’t want to favor one color over another so she would be a rainbow) she didn’t win the crown. That honor went to Miss Osceola Shelby Ann Coleman.
