At halftime of the Bulldog vs. Nevada Tigers game Friday night, Senior Bulldog Cheerleader Jessica Johnson led the Pup Squad cheerleaders in a cheer they learned during the week. At the end of their routine, the Pup Squad posed for a photo. The HS Cheerleading Program is in charge of the Pup Squad. Football Pup Squad consists of grades 1-6. HS cheerleaders run a weeklong cheer clinic where they teach the little girls a cheer, chant and dance, along with games and other fun things like teach them cheer jumps and motions. This year 80 Elementary girls participated in Pup Squad for football. The cheerleaders and their sponsor, Katie Barger, will have another Pup Squad clinic the second week in February. This will include grades K-6. They will perform at a home basketball game.
