Connie Locke visited her parents, Ben and Gloria Locke, in Nevada Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Frances Lewis’ cousins, Bob and Thelma Roe, and the Roe friends, the Bishops from El Dorado Springs, took her to Madalyn’s Kitchen for dinner Friday, Oct. 11, and then Frances spent a little time at the Schell City/Harwood United Methodist Women bake and rummage sale in the Schell City United Methodist Church basement.
Joe O’Brien of near Dallas, TX, spent the weekend in the home of his mother, Ruth Ijams, and visited his sister, Jeanie O’Brien
Those having dinner at the Chinese Chef in Nevada after church Sunday, Oct. 13 were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Frances Lewis, Eternity Dunn and Brent Baughn. Madalyn’s Kitchen was closed for the weekend so they went to Nevada to eat.
Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 13. Brother Cliff Bennett’s sermon “Reveal The Hearts” was taken from Psalm 51:1-19. Jon Candle sang a special “Because He Lives.”
Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday, Oct. 13. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon “One-Minute Faithfulness” was taken from Luke 17:11-19. Communion was served. Items were brought for community outreach. Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien led the lesson “A Promise to Sarah” taken from Genesis 17:18 and 21. Pastor Locke did a seminar at a Catholic church in Kansas City Saturday, Oct. 12.
The Schell City/Harwood United Methodist Women held their rummage and bake sale Friday Oct. 11, and Saturday, Oct. 12, in the Schell City United Methodist Church basement. They made a little more than $600 as of now. They would like to thank everyone who donated and brought things.
