“We played well against Buffalo,” commented Coach Tonya Hooper. “We didn’t play a perfect match, but that’s unrealistic. I am proud that we have met this team three times and each time we have narrowed the gap on the scoreboard. The girls have nothing to be ashamed of as Buffalo is a great team.”
Kameron and Alexa Schaaf had six kills each to lead their team. Olivia Hallford added three. Kristen Lackey led the team with two aces. Kinli Simmons had 12 assists on the night. Megan Chism dominated the net with two solo blocks and four block assists. Simmons added one solo block and three block assists. Alexa Schaaf had eight digs and Simmons added seven.
The VolleyDogs then traveled to Adrian for their final match of regular season. ElDo took no time clearing the court to head home as they quickly defeated Adrian 25-10, 25-5.
“The girls came out with the same intensity they had against Buffalo but against a less powerful team,” said Coach Hooper. “I was impressed with how we played and how we kept our focus. It was a great way to finish our regular season.”
Kinli Simmons led the team in aces with five while Alexa Schaaf added three. Alexa Schaaf had eight kills while Megan Chism added six. Simmons led the team in assists with 19. Jamie Johnson had three aces. Carolyn Todd led the team with two blocks. Becky Jennings had 15 digs at the libero position.
“The JV girls kept fighting,” said Coach Hooper. “Buffalo was bigger and quicker, but the girls kept working hard to keep the ball in play and forcing Buffalo to make mistakes. When you are out matched, that’s how good teams win ball games. We may not have won the match, but we forced Buffalo to earn it”
The JV VolleyDogs travelled to Adrian on Oct. 22 and struggled to earn points losing 8-25, 19-25.

Becky Jennings led her team with four aces. Carolyn Todd and Felecia Ozbun had two kills each. Todd also had one block. Kinlee Ihde had five assists whle Madison Posey had two. Jennings earned eight digs. The JV finished the season with a record of 3-15.
