The El Dorado Christian Lady Buffalos volleyball team traveled to Joplin, Thursday, Oct. 24, to participate in the 2013 MCSAA Girl’s Division II Volleyball State Tournament. The girls endured grueling opponents for two days winning each game. With a chance to advance to the championship bracket, the girls battled Heartland-Bethel Academy. Senior Emily Jones served five straight points while Olivia Witt and Brooke Bland played strong at the net to ensure the win in two sets, 25-23 and 26-24. The girls’ final opponent for first place was Tri City Christian from Independence. Kristen Castor served seven straight to bring the Buffalos within two, but Tri-City prevailed.
