Connie Locke took Jewell and Helen Ellerman and Frances Lewis to the Community Betterment Halloween dinner at the Schell City community building Thursday, Oct. 31. The kids from the grade school came in their Halloween costumes.

Frances Lewis’s cousins, Bob and Thelma Roe, of El Dorado Springs took her to Madalyn’s Kitchen for dinner Friday, Nov. 1

Connie Locke visited her parents, Ben and Gloria Locke, in Nevada Thursday afternoon and again on Friday. Her dad has been under the weather.

Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, Nov. 3, were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Jeanie O’Brien, Ruth Ijams, Frances Lewis, Gary Joe and Gayle Dunn, Eternity Dunn and Brent Baughn.

Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman and Jeanie O’Brien from the Schell City United Methodist Church attended the Charge Conference at the Nevada United Methodist Church Sunday afternoon, Nov. 3. Mark Statler of Joplin, district superintendent from the Southwest District was at the meeting.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Nov. 3. Brother Cliff Bennett’s sermon “Rejoice in the Lord” was taken from Romans 5:1-11. They had their Thanksgiving dinner after church. Next Sunday, Nov. 10, will be Brother Bennett’s last Sunday.

Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday, Nov. 3. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon “To Be In That Number” was taken from Ephesians 1:11-23 and Luke 6:20-31. It was Communion. It was All Saints Sunday. Items were brought for Community Outreach. Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien led the lesson “God’s Purpose for Deliverance” taken from Exodus 3:7-17.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and Connie Locke had dinner at Quick Dine in Nevada Tuesday, Nov. 5, and Jewell went to the doctor for the check up after her knee replacement surgery. She does not have to see the eye doctor for eight months.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Nov. 10. Brother Cliff’s sermon was taken from Matthew. This was Brother Bennett’s last Sunday at the church.

Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien led the lesson “Beginning of Passover” taken from Exodus 12:1-14.
