Tracy and James Washburn hosted a party for the first birthday of their daughter, Jaycee. Attending were grandparents, Bob and Lavina Clinton, and Dan and Peggy Washburn, big brothers, Declan and Corbin, Aunt Jodee and Uncle Jeff Fanning, great-grandmother, Laura Clinton, Aunt Julie Gardner, Lisa Coulter, Jessica Barnett, Katherine Johnson, Aunt Laverna Rice, Julie Day and sons, Shawn and Sue Havins, and Nicole Roberts and Shalynn.

Gilbert and Eleanor Willson visited her sister and brother-in-law at Green Valley, AZ. They attended the wedding of her niece, Kassy, and their daughter, Debbie Wheatley, in Tijeras, AZ.

Meet the Knights –Friday Night at Gym at Walker – Bonfire 5:30 p.m. Hotdogs, chips and drink – 6 p.m. Meet the Knights – scrimmages with the teams and cheerleaders will perform at 7 p.m. New T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants and shorts will be available for sale. Everyone welcome.

The NEVC Varsity/ Jr and Girls Varsity games will begin on Dec. 3.

Alberta Hays attended a baby shower for Alexis Foreman at the community building in Nevada Saturday.

Visiting with Elnora Wallace were Sharon and Jack Wallace, Dawn White and Brian Lowell Wallace.

Visiting with Bob and Jane Hutchison on Saturday were Bobby and Karen Hutchison and Chas and Steve Morgan. Sunday visitors were Debbie and Denny Wallace.

Rick and Janice Ribble of Wisconsin are here working and cleaning brush at the Mound Cemetery. Marty Patton helped them a couple of days, and Rich Patton cooked and brought lunch they all enjoyed together. The Ribbles were Charles and my breakfast guests Saturday morning. They found a stone with the name of Miller on it which had not been recorded in the cemetery book.

Jenise Burch attended the Veterans Day parade Monday in Nevada and the DAR meeting Tuesday.

Linda Gundy visited Leo and Fay Gammon Sunday afternoon.

Ernest Nikodim and Charles and I were among the group that attended a birthday party honoring Bill Scotten on his 80th birthday Saturday afternoon in Nevada. Some former Walker residents attending were Rick and Connie Peckman and Corie, Marge and Tuffy Marshall, and Richard and Annette Scotten and Carl Scotten.

Eleanor Willson attended the WEMO All Conference Choir at Appleton City Saturday to watch her granddaughter, Kelsey, who came home with her and spent the night. Eleanor attended the Fort Scott music show Sunday afternoon.

Bob and Laura Clinton went to the White Grill for breakfast Saturday morning.

Jenise and Jerry Burch took Kate and Cole to basketball camps in Nevada Saturday. Sunday dinner guests of Jenise and Jerry were Jered and Crystal Burch, Kate and Cole, and Bryce Eaton and Hadley Bruch.

Charles and I spent last week in Branson where he drove his Army jeep in the Veteran’s Day parade. Joining us for the weekend were Wendy and Brandon Conley, Coltin and Garrett, David and Betsy Foreman, Brooklyn and Carter, Gary and Shirley Vickers, and Mike and Chris Bozer. Gary and Mike, who are Vietnam veterans, rode in the parade with Charles. We saw the beautiful Christmas lights, light display and light parade, plus some shows at Silver Dollar City. We attended several other shows.

Wendy Conley hosted a baby shower for Katie Budd Sunday afternoon at Nevada. Attending were Brenda Budd, Kathy Newman, Rebecca Forgey and Kimber, Betsy Foreman and Brooklyn, Wendy Conley, Coltin and Garrett, Christine Graham and Corey, Chet and Marla Foreman, Regan Kannady, Faith Gilbert, Kathryn Phillips, Audrey Underwood and son, and Neoma Foreman.

NEVC Basketball Jr. High Girls/Boys ended their season at the tournament at Hume. The boys took third place.
