The morning message at Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor Lorry Sorrells was titled “Jesus is Calling” from John 1:43-51. You are always welcome to join us for Worship Sundays at 9 a.m. and Bible study Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m.

Mt. Zion area has enjoyed some very nice winter weather until Friday when we had ice and snow closing school, thankfully the storm didn’t last long.

Sympathy to the families of Sue Damen and Evertt Carter, funeral services were held this past week.

Enjoyed phone calls from Dixie Peterson who is doing well at Truman Lake Manor.

Over at Wanda Rectors during the recent ice storm, a big tree limb broke from the tree in her front yard. With one phone call, both daughters husbands and made short work of removing the limb and cleaning the yard, while Wanda prepared a delicious dinner. All had a good family time working together.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle was a happy dog Friday. The snow was just right for Belle to make snow angels, and snow angels she made.

Robin had a hard time walking, doing chores but Belle was so happy and cute; Robin is just enjoying her.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey have been staying home.  Tom is keeping the wood box filled and cutting more for the woodshed. The Wood Fairy is entertainment for the cats.

Several reports of Armadillos out and feeding.

When the Tri-County Quilt Club is able to meet again, it will be the first Monday of the month and in the afternoon from 1:30 to 5 p.m. so mark your calendars.

Tyler and Paige Martin announced the birth of a daughter, Della, born Jan. 15, 2021.
