On Monday, Dec. 16, the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Adrian to take on the Lady Blackhawks. The Lady Bulldogs were able to build a lead early on timely basket, but struggled to completely shut down the Lady Blackhawks taking a 10 point lead into the half. In the third quarter the both teams played very even as they both would go on runs, but the other always came back. In the fourth quarter the Lady Bulldogs were finally able to pull away, hitting many key shots and finishing with a final score of 73-52. Scoring for the Lady Bulldogs was: Alexa Schaaf 16, Rachel Bush 14, Taylor Witt 13, Becky Jennings 9, Madison Mays, Kameron Schaaf and Kinli Simmons with 7.

On Thursday, Dec. 19, the Lady Bulldogs were on the road once again this time to play the Stockton Lady Tigers. The Lady Bulldogs started out shooting the ball very well from the outside with Alexa Schaaf connecting on her first three three pointers. This allowed El Dorado Springs to take an early lead, but Stockton fought back and eventually tied the game up in the second quarter. The Lady Bulldogs push the lead back out to four, before Stockton made a shot in the final seconds of the first half to close within two. In the third quarter the Lady Bulldogs were able to once again get hot from the outside and push their lead to 11 points. In the fourth, the Lady Bulldogs continued to play good defense and kept Stockton from gaining any ground, finishing with a 62-46 win. Scoring for the Lady Bulldogs was: Alexa Schaaf 20, Madison Mays 15, Rachel Bush 9, Kameron Schaaf 8, Kinli Simmons 3, Taylor Witt 3, Cameron McPeak 2 and Becky Jennings 2.

“The girls continue to play well, but we know we still have some things to correct. We’ve started out the season very well going into the break with a 7-1 record. We have some big games coming up on the schedule and we’ll finally get to play a few more games in front of our home crowd once we’re back from the break. We’d like to thank everyone who has made the trips to come and watch us play and a special thank you to Mrs. Marsh for putting together a pep bus that has cheered us on during our road games.”
