Join us as we share a celebration with June Coleman to mark her 91st birthday from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 29, at Circle S Feed Company in El Dorado Springs.

Naomi June Coleman, the fourth child of Melvin and Goldie Swopes, was born around 9 p.m. June 1, 1930. She was named Naomi, because the local pastor was preaching from the book of Ruth that week, and June, because it was the first day of that month. She weighed just over eight pounds and was a very happy and healthy baby. That baby girl grew up, a loving sister to her seven brothers and sisters; she became wife to Neil Coleman and mother to Phyllis and Gayle.

The girls have fond memories growing up with surprise bonfire lunches while cutting wood and her love of gardening, both flowers and vegetables. She canned everything from carp to mushrooms and always had a house that welcomed family and friends both day and night.

June holds strong to her faith and has always been an integral part of her church and her community. She is as feisty as she is humble and is loved by all who know her.

Please join us to celebrate this milestone birthday as we honor the lady whose birth made possible the lives of her two daughters, five adored grandchildren, and now a slew of great-grandchildren plus eight great-great-

grandchildren.

All family and friends from the community are welcome to stop in and visit with June during this special celebration happening Saturday, May 29. She would also enjoy cards or letters mailed to her at 831 Pershing, Willard MO 65781.
