I can’t begin to thank everyone enough for all your prayers, well wishes and kind inquiries on behalf of Kenny. He spent 17 days in ICU at Mercy in Springfield and is now in Select Specialty Re-Hab Hospital, also in Springfield. He makes progress every day, but it will be slow going. So, please don’t stop with the prayers.
Until Kenny is back behind his computer, you’re stuck with me and Davis. Davis did a great job of taking pictures at the High School basketball games last Friday, so I guess he’s hired.
Actually, with the super people we have at the Sun office, things are running quite smoothly, with just the usual bumps in the road. So Mary, Gwen, Megan, Wanda, Fern and Nancy also get a big “thank you.”
I got some great suggestions from Gayle and Neale Teague about more books to read …Think Big, Unleash Your Potential for Excellence by Ben Carson, M.D., Reunion, A Search for Ancestors by Ryan Littrell and Getting Things Done, The Art of Stress Free Productivity by David Allen. They also suggested To the Limit, An Air Cav Huey Pilot in Vietnam by Tom A. Johnson.
A gang of young bald eagles has been hanging around our house recently. We take a quick look out the door before we let an animal out in the morning. The cats would make nice appetizers. Caddee might qualify for a main course – if the eagle is on a diet. To emphasize the seriousness of this matter, Davis showed me a video on his phone of an eagle picking up a small child. Luckily the eagle let go. OK, enough with the scary bird stories – for now.
Let’s enjoy this almost spring-like weather before another big blow comes along. I read the other day that the cold weather of a week ago, is really not that uncommon, it’s just that we’ve become kind of wimpy over the last few mild winters.
But whether you feel wimpy or invigorated by the cold, just take care.
