The El Dorado Springs Community Foundation of the Ozarks awarded over $11,000 for various projects in the El Dorado Springs area.
The R-II School received $5,109.29 for high interest books for the elementary library, 2 ipads and apps, a rocket launch project, new library books for classrooms, a new AED for the new gym, and a wheelchair for the nurse’s office.
The El Dorado Springs Christian School was awarded $1,905.30 for an upgrade to spellingcity.com and a Bright Link system.
The Lighthouse Children’s Theatre was awarded $500 to support their anti-bullying campaign.
El Do Youth received $500 to support monthly activities.
The City of El Dorado Springs was awarded $1,600 to purchase a recumbent bike for the Community Center exercise room.
WINGS Refuge/ARC of Hope received $886.41 to purchase appliances.
Kay Forest, president of the El Dorado Springs Community Foundation of the Ozarks, said, “The El Dorado Springs Community Foundation is so proud to have resources to fund these worthy projects. These fund resources are made possible from earnings from the Foundation’s endowment fund. Funds held under the El Dorado Springs Community Foundation currently total approximately $385,000. Because money spent for community projects comes from interest earned rather than spending principle, we will be able to fund community projects for years to come.
