Bulldog Head Football Coach

This past Friday your hometown Bulldogs traveled south to take on the Eagles of Fair Grove. The Eagles came into the matchup undefeated and ranked number two in the state only behind Lamar. The home team struck early and often as the final score read ElDo 6 – Fair Grove 56.

Coach Beckner added, “Rough night for the Dogs. Boys battled hard but give credit to Fair Grove, they have a good ball club. We have to rally, regroup and get ready for a very winnable game against East Newton.”

This past Friday was the last week of the regular season for the El Dorado football team. They finished as the 5th seed in Class 2 District 4 and will now take on the 4 seed in East Newton this coming Friday night. This will be the first “playoff” game of the season which means, win and move on, lose and your season is over. “I think we have a great match up with East Newton Mewton, I know we’ve played them in the past before I got here but I’m familiar with them having spent time coaching in their same conference. It will be a great challenge to the boys this week. We don’t have school Monday or Friday so it won’t be the typical week, we’ll have to make sure we focus and iron the little details and find us a ‘W’.”

Kickoff is set for 7pm this Friday night in Granby as the ElDo Bulldogs take on the East Newton Patriots. Come out, be loud and be proud.
