El Dorado Springs Lady Bulldogs win at Sectionals

On Wednesday, March the 5, the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Sedalia Smith-Cotton Gymnasium to take on the Lady Huskers of Lafayette County for the Sectional Championship.

The Lady Bulldogs started out very well as they pressured the Lady Huskers into multiple turnovers allowing for the Lady Bulldogs to score in transition. Offensively the Lady Bulldogs moved the ball very well and were able to find open teammates for uncontested shots.

The Lady Bulldogs jumped out to an early first quarter lead 27-17. In the second quarter, the Lady Bulldogs continued to play well increasing that lead to 14 points going into the half.

In the second half, the Lady Bulldogs continued to move the ball well, executing in the half court set against Lafayette County’s trapping zone. The Lady Bulldogs were able to make the extra pass that allowed for back door layups for multiple teammates.

The final quarter saw the Lady Bulldogs continue dissect the Lady Huskers defense and push the lead to a final score 79-58.

Scoring for the Lady Bulldogs was: Alexa Schaaf 31, Kameron Schaaf 15, Madison Mays 11, Taylor Witt 7, Kinli Simmons 5, and Cameron McPeak 4.
