In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 86 requests for assistance this past week, Jan. 3-9. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 12, Animal Control 14, Assist Other Agencies 18, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 3, All Other Requests for Assistance 38, Summons 9.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On January 4, 2021, officers responded to 405 South Vernon concerning a domestic assault involving a knife. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Becky R. Crowder, 32, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Felony Domestic Assault 2nd Degree. Officers completed a probable cause statement for the charge. She was released pending a warrant.

On January 5, 2021, officers arrested Adam D. Kruse, 40, of El Dorado Springs,  for a Cass County Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle with no bond, and Bates County Warrants charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Exceeded Posted Speed Limit, Driving While Revoked or Suspended, Failure to Drive within Right Lane and Driving While Intoxicated with a $3000.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cass County Jail pending bond and court appearances.

On January 9, 2021, officers responded to 311 South Ohio concerning a larceny from a building. A report taken and the investigation continues.
