COMMUNITY SERVICE – At the end of the 21 Days of Consecration, participating community religious leaders and their congregations celebrated in the City Park at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 21. The evening consisted of prayer and praise and testimonies including one from a young woman who went to Virginia to reclaim her son whom she hadn’t seen in two years.
The 21 days began on March 31 with nine local churches and the Arc of Hope Ministries embarking on a journey of prayer and specific daily actions including fasting. Their “Appeal to Heaven” had the goal of drawing closer to Christ and becoming agents of transformation in families, churches and communities.
SHADOW OF THE CROSS? – The sun caught the outline of a the utility pole in the Park to make a cross on the back of the Cruce monument.
