ElDo Christian athletes compete at nationals 3 cc.tif

Fifteen students from El Dorado Christian participated in the 13th annual National Christian Home School Track Championships on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, in JKF Stadium, Springfield. A record number of athletes, close to 900, from all across the nation competed for the top medals. Ages 12 and under competed in five events in addition to a triathlon (three events) and were scored accordingly. Athletes, 18 and under, competed in a pentathlon (five events) and up to an additional five events for a total of 10. Each individual was scored by points earned. Those who placed in the top 10 in the nation in their age division were: 10 and U: Josiah Batson, 2nd place, 364 pts. and Jordanne Steuck, 3rd place, 659 pts; 12 and U: Brayden Housh, 10th place, 505 pts. and Ryan Wilkinson, 5th place, 763 pts.; 14 & U: Abigail Batson, 5th place, 1,213 pts., Mindy Harper, 9th place, 787 pts., Colten Pike, 3rd place, 1,941 pts. and Drew Steuck, 6th place, 1730 pts.; 16 and U: Ben Middleton, 5th place, 1,896 pts.; 18 and U: Christanne Middleton, 3rd place, 2,291 pts.
