The Lions All-Star Twin Classic Basketball games, now in their thirty-fifth year, are upon us. The games are set for Saturday, June 14, in the Neosho High School Athletic Facility. The girls tip off at 6:30 p. m. and the boys game to follow. Players for these games are selected from schools in Barton, Jasper, Newton, McDonald, Cedar, Dade, Lawrence and Barry Counties. Playing from the El Dorado Springs Sun coverage area on the East girls team wearing purple will be Lindasy Daniel – El Dorado Christian and Alexa Schaaf and Madison Mays – from the State Champion El Dorado Springs and Coach of the Year Beau Swopes – El Dorado Springs R II. The only area boy playing will be Ryan Pate from Stockton on the North boys team wearing white/red.

The purpose of these games is two-fold: First, it gives outstanding seniors an opportunity to play one more game before going off to college or into their career. Second, it generates funds for our Lions District 26-M6 to make a donation to Leader Dogs for the Blind, Mid-South Sight and Hearing Service and World Services for the Blind.

Please join us and cheer on your favorite player. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students with ID, free for children under six years of age.
