In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 82 requests for assistance this past week, Oct. 24-30. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 3, Animal Control 12, Assist Other Agencies 14, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 3, All Other Requests for Assistance 50, Summons 4.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On October 31, 2022, officers responded to 509 West Fields Street, golf course and ball fields concerning a peace disturbance by fighting. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Maxwell B. Julian, 18, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Peace Disturbance. He was released on summons pending a court appearance. A juvenile was also taken into custody and referred to the juvenile office.

On November 1, 2022, officers responded to a report larceny of a family pet at 1103 South Jackson.  The investigation revealed the theft of a black and white Husky dog. A report taken and the investigation continues. 

On November 2, 2022, officers responded to 204 South Grand Street concerning a tampering with a motor vehicle.  The investigation revealed a brake line cut.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 2, 2022, officers responded to 800 North Main, Apartment 24, concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of $ 50.00 in US currency.  A report taken and the investigation continues. 

On November 2, 2022, officers responded to 100 East U.S. 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning fraudulent use of a credit or debit device. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Trinity L. Gordon, 30, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Stealing, Fraudulent Use of a Debit Device, Shoplifting and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging her with Stealing, Fraudulent Use of a Debit Device and Possession of Drug paraphernalia with a $5,000.00 bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and court appearance.

On November 3, 2022, officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department assisted by Cedar and St. Clair County Deputies served a search warrant at 302 A South Kirkpatrick Street, after receiving information of illegal drug activities. Officers and Deputies located evidence of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.  Suspects were identified and the investigation continues.

On November 4, 2022, officers responded to the 500 block of South Forest concerning a peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of John D. Donahue, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Peace Disturbance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Also arrested was Kristina L. Spencer, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Peace Disturbance. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.
