Bob and Cheryl Ellerman of Edwards spent from Thursday night until Saturday morning in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman.
Connie Locke and Helen Ellerman visited Martha Radspinner at the El Dorado Springs Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning, July 30. Martha lived in Harwood for several years before moving to Laquey to live with her daughter, Kate. She moved back to El Dorado Springs to live with her daughter, Judy.
Pastor Connie Locke and Jewell and Helen Ellerman had dinner at Dave’s Diner at El Dorado Springs after church Sunday, Aug. 3. They usually have dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen at Schell City but Madalyn was closed for vacation.
Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman from the Schell City/Harwood United Methodist Women attended the Ozark North United Methodist Women’s retreat at the Aldrich United Methodist Church Saturday, Aug. 2. It was, “A Perfect Mess” put on by Sandy Jackson.
Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday, Aug. 3. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon “What Could I Possibly Do?” was taken from Genesis 32:22-31 and Matthew 14:13-21. It was Communion Sunday. Sunday School was held before church. Joe Dunn led the lesson, “Consolation Granted Through Prayer” taken from II Corinthians 1:3-11.
Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Aug. 3. Brother Jon Caudle’s sermon, “In The Spirit of God” was taken from I Corinthians 2:1-6. They have First Sunday dinner after church. The pastor’s wife, Judith, wanted me to put in their church news that they are under construction that they are building an addition to the church.
