In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 51 requests for assistance this past week, Jan. 16-22. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 0, Animal Control 6, Assist Other Agencies 3, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 42, Summons 6.

Animal Control

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact the animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On January 18, 2023, officers responded to 309 West Lafayette concerning a burglary. A report taken and the investigation continue.

On January 19, 2023, officers responded to 227 West U.S. 54 Highway, Pete’s, concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of 2- $50.00 Lottery Tickets. A suspect has been identified and the investigation continues.

On January 19, 2023, officers responded to 216 West Olive concerning an Assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Kristopher B. Kaderly, 20, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause him of Assault. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On January 19, 2023, officers responded 1300 South First Street, Dollar General Store, concerning trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Shawnda R. Pulley, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of stealing, 2 counts of Trespassing and a Cedar County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear with a $250.00 bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On January 20, 2023, officers responded to 1201 East Patricia Street concerning a report trespassing and assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Buck E Harris, 30, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing and 2 counts of Assault. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On January 22, 2023, officers responded to 311 East U.S 54 Highway, C&H motel, concerning a suspicious person.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of Paul A Robertson, 37, of Osceola, for the probable cause of Peace Disturbance and Property Damage. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.
