The Lady Bulldogs played two games last week. The first game of the week was against the Skyline Lady Tigers. The Lady Bulldogs started the night out great with a 23-21 victory in the JV game. In the varsity contest, the Lady Bulldogs were able to continue where the JV left off, securing a 69-63 victory over the Lady Tigers of Skyline.
Friday night, the Lady Bulldogs welcomed the Carthage Lady Tigers. The JV team came out a little slow in the first quarter holding on to a 1-point lead of 11-10. In the second quarter, the Lady Bulldogs picked up the defensive pressure, keeping Carthage scoreless and scoring 21 of their own. In the second half, the Lady Bulldogs would continue to play great defense only allowing 5 second-half points to take a 51-15 victory. Once again, the Varsity lady Bulldogs would pick up where they left off and outscore the Lady Tigers 39-26 in the first half. The Lady Bulldogs continued to play good defense throughout the second half to claim a 69-40 victory over Carthage. During the first quarter, Macie Mays broke the career school scoring record of 2,213 points which was previously held by 2022 graduate Reese Schaaf.
