Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 52 requests for assistance this past week, Jan. 23-29. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists1, Animal Control 10, Assist Other Agencies 7, All Escorts1, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 33, Summons 2.

Anyone interested in adopting animals from the City Pound should contact the animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On January 24, 2023, officers arrested John J. Cox, 41, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, for a Probation Violation and Resisting Officer with no bond. He was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On January 25, 2023, officers responded to 111 North Kirkpatrick Street concerning a tent fire. The investigation revealed the fire consumed a tent and its contents. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 25, 2023, officers arrested Earl L. Pinkman, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for St. Clair County Warrant, charging him with for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Amphetamine Possession with no bond, Bates County Warrants, for Failure to Appear on the original charges of Antitrust with $200.00 cash bond, Keeping House Ill Fame with $2500.00 cash bond, Weapon Offense with $300.00 cash bond, Traffic Offense with $500.00 cash bond and aTraffic Violation with $1000.00 cash bond. He was transported to the St. Clair County Jail pending bonds and court appearances.

On January 28, 2023, officers responded to 106 Long Lane concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of prescription medication. A report taken and the investigation continues.
