Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 70 requests for assistance this past week, Jan. 30-Feb. 5. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 5, Animal Control 7, Assist Other Agencies 12, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 3, All Other Requests for Assistance 43, Summons 3.

Anyone interested in adopting animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Police Report
On February 1, 2023, officers arrested Terry M Biggs, 57, of El Dorado Springs, for a St. Clair County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, with a $10,000.00 bond. He was transferred to the St Clair County Jail.

On February 2, 2023, officers arrested Seaire A McCowin, 23, of El Dorado Springs, for Vernon County Warrants charging her with Failure to Appear for the original charges of Non Moving Traffic, Invade Privacy, and Possess Narcotic Equipment all with no bond. She was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending a court appearance.

On February 3, 2023, officers responded to a report of larceny of a credit or debit device from 201 South Belisle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 5, 2023, officers responded to 1607 South Vernon Street concerning a report attempted burglary. The investigation revealed forced entry was made into the residence resulting into property damage. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 5, 2023, officers responded to 317 West Springs Street concerning a reported assault and property damage. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.
