Ethan Knowlton, DPM has recently joined the Cedar County Memorial staff providing Podiatry care through the hospital’s Specialty Clinic. He is a native of the Midwest, having grown up in the Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn. IL. He stayed close to home for his undergraduate studies receiving a B.S. in Biology, then went on to attend Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science where he completed his medical school education with a Doctor of Podiatry Degree. His three year Residency Program took him to the east coast with time spent at U-Mass and St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester, MA where he received even more intensive training in foot and ankle care, including surgical and fracture care and wound and injury care, as well as soft tissue masses treatment and bone abnormality correction procedures. Following residency, he was in private practice is the Kansas City area before feeling a need to reach out to rural community residents that have the need for podiatry care but prefer not to travel a long distance unless absolutely necessary. When the Cedar County Memorial Hospital position presented itself, he felt it would be a great fit. We agree.
A self-proclaimed “outdoorsman” – Dr. Knowlton enjoys kayaking, paddle boarding, snowboarding and fishing, just to name a few. He and his wife, Kayla, have two fur-babies, Toulousse and Ewan!! He mentioned that he likes ALL music – but especially Alternate Rock – that he’s a Beatles fan and therefore a fan of the movie “Across the Universe”. He and his wife are also “foodies” and love to try all kinds of new food. He especially likes Bar-b-q — burnt ends and brisket. He confessed to liking Diet Dr. Pepper and tries to live by the Wayne Gretzky saying, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” A couple more interesting things about Dr. Knowlton – he’s a musically trained cellist and he taught himself to play the Ukulele. Also important – he’s a Kansas City Chiefs fan!!
Dr. Knowlton is now accepting patients at the CCMH Specialty Clinic with no referral necessary. To make an appointment, please call 417.876.3613.
