The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 66 requests for assistance this past week, March 20-26. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 4, Animal Control 5, Assist Other Agencies 8, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 5, All Other Requests for Assistance 44, Summons 4.

Animal Control
Anyone interested in adopting animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On March 20, 2023, officers responded to 312 West US 54 Highway, Woods Supermarket, concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a bottle of Jim Beam. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Dakota M. Herndon, 21, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of stealing. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On March 21, 2023, officers arrested Terry G. Coleman, 56, of El Dorado Springs, for Cedar County Warrants charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Possession of a Weapon, Forgery of Checks, Larceny and Obstructing Police with no bond, and Polk County Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Possess Amphetamine with no bond and multiple El Dorado Springs Municipal Court Warrants, charging him with Dangerous Drugs and Property Damage (2 Counts)with a $327.50 bond. He was transfer to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On March 21, 2023, officers responded to 610 South Main Street concerning a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Landon A. Rock for Cedar County Warrants charging him with Property Damage 1st degree (Felony) and Trespassing 1st degree with no bond, Assault 4th degree (Misdemeanor) with no bond and Domestic Assault 2nd degree (Felony) with no bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On March 23, 2023, officers arrested Christopher K. Jensen, 38, of Springfield, for a Polk County Warrant charging him with No Valid License with a $300.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.
