Join the national movement led by the American Battlefield Trust to preserve Civil War battlefields and historic sites on Saturday, April 15, at Battle of Lexington State Historic Site.

Volunteers should meet at the visitor center and will be working in small groups from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to construct split-rail fencing. If constructing fence isn’t your favorite thing to do, help the park team win the fight while battling invasive species threatening the site. Volunteers should dress comfortably to work and hike outside in the elements.

Battle of Lexington State Historic Site is located at 1101 Delaware in Lexington. For more information, call the site office at 660-259-4654.
