The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 85 requests for assistance this past week, April 3-9. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 4, Animal Control 9, Assist Other Agencies 9, All Escorts 2, Nuisance 2, All Other Requests for Assistance 59, Summons 5.

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On April 5, 2023, officers responded to 700 South Jackson concerning an assault. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 6, 2023, officers responded to 1609 South Jackson concerning a larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of a cell phone. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 7, 2023 officers responded to 309 West Lafayette concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed forced entry through a window.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 7, 2023, officers responded to 311 West Hickory concerning a Domestic Assault.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of Trevor G. Gant, 28, for the probable cause of Peace Disturbance and Domestic Assault.  He was released on summonses pending a court appearance

Police Report

On April 12, 2023, officers arrested Tristen A. Shepherd, 18, of Nevada, for the probable cause of Driving While Revoked and Speeding. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On April 13, 2023, officers responded to a delayed report of larceny at 103 North Summer Street.  The investigation revealed the theft of a Samsung cell phone. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 13, 2023, officers arrested Daniel L. Williams, for a Randolph County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Traffic Offense, with a $750.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On April 13, 2023, officers responded to the 200 block of East Walnut concerning a Domestic Assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Rhett A. Lunsford, 27, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Domestic Assault and Trespassing. Officers completed a probable cause statement and received a warrant charging him with Domestic Assault 2nd Degree and Trespassing 1st Degree with a $15,000.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On April 14, 2023, officers responded to 1611 South Ohio Street concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a package. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 16, 2023, officers arrested Christopher S. Christensen, 26, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $231.50 bond. He is being held pending bond or a court appearance.
