In the Mt. Zion area, Mother Nature is messing with spring again. Sunday morning it was 28 degrees, don’t think the plants suffered much. We are still needing rain. I don’t ever put plants out until after Mother’s Day and the hummingbirds are back.
Enjoyed visiting with Rosalle Herman over Butler way on H Hwy. by phone recently. She got a big surprise awakening by a loud noise during the storm. The noise was her big shed blowing around her yard and road in pieces. Didn’t do much damage except for the shed.
Wanda Rector enjoyed her great granddaughter coming to exercise class with her. They were going to paint birdhouses later.
Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle is still excited, more baby chicks. Belle hasn’t had time to play or visit with Petey or Specks. Belle enjoys hunting for asparagus with Robin. Mabel is thinking about planting a garden and enjoying the little people.
Judy and Terry Piepmier are doing fine, keeping doctor’s appointments. Both doing good, Judy is still smiling.
Howard Peterson is doing fine doing his spring farming chores. Brenda Peterson visited recently.
Those enjoying Easter dinner in the Marge Zink, Stacy and Mike Griffith home were Howard Peterson, Brenda Peterson, Betty and Larry Teal and Donna Harris.
John and Julia Snethen had a busy week with John keeping his bus route going and Julia keeping her appointments in Osceola, also doing some shopping before returning home. Julia went to Knob Noster Wednesday to the base and visited in the Vandiver home and enjoyed Theo and granddaughter, Chryshella, and husband, David.
Tri-County Quilt Club will meet May 1 at the Rockville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall with a carry-in lunch at 12:30 p.m. and meeting at 1:30 p.m. Looking forward to seeing you there.
