In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 103 requests for assistance this past week, June 5-11. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 4, Animal Control 9, Assist Other Agencies 13, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 17, All Other Requests for Assistance 60, Summons 0.

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On June 5, 2023, officers responded to 117 South St. James Street, Harleman Manufacturing, concerning a larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of several wood pallets involving a white Chevy Silverado 2500 extended cab with a utility box bed. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 5, 2023, officers responded to 200 East Twyman Street, MFA, concerning  a stolen motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a white 2002 International 7800 flat bed truck, bearing 83J0SE, Missouri. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 5, 2023, officers responded to 100 South Main Street, Spring Park concerning vandalism.  The investigation revealed damage to the sandstone facade at the base of the flag pole. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 5, 2023, officers responded to 308 North Jackson for a report of property damage. The investigation revealed damage done to a vinyl fence with a golf ball. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 5, 2023, officers responded to 228 West Spring concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a weed eater, towels, a cooler, a cordless drill, and a leaf blower. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 5, 2023, officers received a delayed report of an assault that occurred at 410 East US 54 Highway, McDonald’s. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 7, 2023, officers arrested Christopher S. Christensen, 26, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs  Municipal Warrant, charging him with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with a $181.50 bond. He was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.

On June 7, 2023, officers responded to 115 East US 54 Highway, Conoco Station, concerning a reported assault. A suspect has been identified, report taken and the investigation continues.
