Edgar Michael “Mike” Rush

Edgar Michael “Mike” Rush, 77, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, following a short illness.  He was born January 21, 1946, to Edgar M. and Margarite Rush in Salinas, CA. He graduated Salinas High School in 1964. His first job was a water truck driver in the produce fields of Salinas, CA. He then went on to make produce boxes and worked at Stone Container for 39 years. Mike met the love of his life, Lynda, and they were married in 1965. They had one daughter, Janie.

Mike loved riding dirt bikes with his buddies and taking the family camping. He also loved to travel and took the family on vacation every summer. Family meant everything to him. Mike was always willing to help anybody in need and had a kind soul.

Mike is survived by his wife, Lynda; his daughter, Janie (Johnny) Williams; granddaughter, Courtney (Brendon) Canfield; grandson, Michael Williams; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Michael and Brielle Marie Canfield; brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the El Dorado Springs Church of Christ with Craig Johnson officiating. Friends may call Monday at Ferry Funeral Home.
