In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 80 requests for assistance this past week, June 12-18. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 5, Animal Control 9, Assist Other Agencies 5, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 7, All Other Requests for Assistance 54, Summons 19.

Animal Control

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On June 13, officers responded to 308 W. Hightower concerning a domestic disturbance. A suspect has been identified, report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 12, officers responded to 208 W. U.S. 54 Hwy., O’Reilly’s Auto Parts concerning a peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Clinton E. Moore, 46, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of peace disturbance, failure to drive on right have of roadway and resisting arrest. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 12, officers arrested Kenneth W. Johnson Jr., 44, of El Dorado Springs, for the probably cause of assault 4th degree. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 13, officers responded to 307 W. Pine concerning as assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Marie M. Mowry,76, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of assault and resisting arrest. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

One June 14, officers esponded to the 400 block of S. Main St. concerning an assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 15, officers responded to 500 S. Main St., First Baptist Church, concerning property damage. The investigation revealed rocks removed from a rock retaining wall. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 15, officers responded to 100 S. Main St., Spring Park, concerning property damage. The investigation revealed damage to window panes of the park building. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 15, officers responded to 700 E. Hospital Rd., Preferred Family Healthcare, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the thfts of a 22 inch Terracotta pot containing a red Hydrangea and a gound cover vine dug out of a pot next to it. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 15, officers arrested Lance A. Spencer, 44, of El Dorado Springs, for a Dade County warrant, charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of moving violation with a $55 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 17, officers arrested Dakota M. Herndon, 23, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of driving while suspended. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 17, officers arrested Seaira A. McCowin, 23, of El Dorado Springs, for two Vernon County warrants, charging her with shoplifting and possession of amphetamine with a $1,050 cash bond. She was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On June 17, officers responded to 403 S. Ohio, apartment # 2, concerning a domestic disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of James D. Santerle, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of assault 3rd degree. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June17, officers arrested Tristin A. Reed, 21, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of driving while revoked. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 17, officers arrested Sevren S. Smith, 20, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of moor in possession (of alcoholic beverages). She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 18, officers reponded to 500 E. Fields, trailer # 25A, concerning trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Phillip R. Robison, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of trespassing. He was released on summons pending a court appearnace.

On June 18, officers responded to 403 S. Ohio apartment 2, concerning a violation of an ex-parte order of protection. The investigation resulated in the arrest of James D. Santerle, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause violation of an ex-parte order of protection. He is being held pending warrant.
