Jean had the program today; she took her program from the TOPS website titled “Heat Stress/Hydration. She spoke of her own experience of working outside without drinking water before going out. She experienced dizziness and weakness and realized she had no water since the night before. Her symptoms were easily fixed by a big bottle of water but point out how important hydration is for your body.

You should drink before you feel thirsty, sometimes you do not even feel thirsty and be dehydrated. When working in the heat, drink 1 cup of water every 15-20 minutes. Drink water after your work, you need to replace the fluids you lost due to sweat. Water is the drink of choice. Avoid energy Drinks, and alcohol. Be careful with sports drinks, some can have a lot of sugar in them. However, for prolonged sweating lasting several hours, sports drinks with balanced electrolytes are another option to replace salt lost in sweat.

She also commented that water is becoming a huge factor in the stock market. Some investors are referring to it as the “new oil,” and water investing is a mega trend.

Contest: Warren reported on the contest. Sue is in the lead in the TOPS section, Marilyn and Jean are tied in the KOPS section.

Marble game: Jean won the right to draw for the marble but did not get the winning one.
