Gerald David Driggs

Gerald David Driggs, 77, passed away Sept. 12, 2023. Gerald was born in Miller, on May 25, 1946, to Gerald Fredrick and Lucille Ann (Lundford) Driggs. He spent part of his childhood in Jerico Springs on his parent’s farm. He moved to California and spent several years there until he returned to Missouri in 1970.

Gerald worked for the laminate bean factory in Carthage and then for Barrington Manufacturing for 15 years, and retired from there. Gerald married Patty Wright and to this union four sons were born. He later married Lee Ann Walker in 1988. He was blessed with eight children all together.

Gerald enjoyed fishing, loved to go arrowhead hunting and enjoyed working around the house and yard. He really loved it when grandkids came to visit, and always made sure that they had candy to take home when they left.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fredrick Driggs; and sister, Pat E. Hines.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lee Ann, of the home; children, Gerald Ray (Ada) – Lamar, David Allen (Linda) – Irwin, Oscar Dale – Lamar, James Delbert – Lamar, Jennifer (Aharon) Grove – Dunnegan, Emily Peters – Willard, Nicole (Chris) Bingham – Petal, MS, and Noe (Amber) Gadea – El Dorado Springs; sisters, Sue Ann (Paul) – Placentia, CA, and Carol Purvis – West Plains; 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
