TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Preferred Family Healthcare building, 700 E. Hospital Rd, El Dorado Springs on Thursday, Oct. 5, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Warren led us in roll call; 20 members weighed in. The chapter had a gain of 8.4 lbs. and a loss of 7.0 with a net gain of 1.4 lbs.

Best Loser for the week was a tie between Samantha and Juanita, each lost 1.8 pounds.  Congratulations to both of you!   

Special Congratulations to Samantha she reached her goal today and is a brand-new KOPS. We are so proud of you, Samantha and welcome you to the world of Keeping Off Pounds Sensibly (KOPS).

Linda Hall presented the awards for September today:

Sharron received her 500 miles walked certificate and the back in black with perfect attendance certificate.

Samantha received her 1,000 miles walked certificate, and her back in black with perfect attendance certificate.

Juanita received her 20-pound loss certificate and charm, a 12-week consecutive loss certificate and charm, back in black with perfect attendance and was best loser for the month with a loss of 4.6 pounds. She was also TOPS Third Quarter best loser with a 14.6 loss in the quarter. Way to go Juanita.

Jan received her halfway to goal certificate and charm, Ten pounds to goal certificate and charm and back in black with perfect attendance certificate, she lost 2.6 pounds!  Congratulations Jan.

Winner of the free dues for the month was Carol.

Contest: Laura will have a new contest for us next week. In the meantime, Warren commented on the contest that came out in the TOPS monthly newsletter. There is a picture of a running shoe with 100 spots on it. Each member is to color a spot for each 20 minutes spent walking or working out. This will run from this week to Dec. 31.  If you want a copy, please see Warren and he will print one for you.

Sharron will have the program next week. She requests each member bring a recipe of a healthy low-calorie dish. Please print it or write it out so copies can be made. This will be part of her program so let’s help her out.
