Sharron had the program today. She spoke on “Share the Love, not the Food” which was taken from the November/December 2018 issue of TOPS News. There will always be other people who shower you with “Food Love.” Some will say I made this cake just for you; or just one bite will not hurt you, or you can diet tomorrow. She gave us some tips on how to redirect your food focus. Instead of meeting friends for a food event, suggest you meet and go on a walk, Give yourself non-food rewards. We then shared some recipes Sharron found in the TOPS NEWS and some other members brought to the meeting.

Laura reported on a new contest: She suggested for the next 8 weeks we add up all losses and donate a monetary amount equal to the losses to the Hope Center. The member that loses the most will be the one to present the check to the Hope Center. Jan made a motion to do this contest; (Net Loss of each participant for 8 weeks with dollar amount going to the Hope Center donation.  The cost for each participant will be $2). Fred seconded the motion and motion carried.

Marble game:  there is $21.50 in the pot.  Sharron won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.

Warren reminded us of the TOPS Tea Friday 13th 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Pam’s house.

There was discussion about the TOPS Christmas Party. Carol made a motion to have the TOPS Christmas party and gift exchange on Thursday, Dec. 14. Jan seconded the motion, the motion carried.

The date has been set for the El Dorado Spring Christmas Parade, it will be Saturday Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. Theme will be “Christmas on The Silver Screen” Discussion on if we want to enter the parade was tabled till next week.
