SPEECH AND DEBATE

The El Dorado Springs HS Speech and Debate students, under the direction of Coach Tandi Leonard, have worked very hard to prepare their various pieces for the upcoming competition season. Competing this year: Nathan Saderstrom, Logan Fisk, RJ Winstead and Crayton Thorell in Original Oratory; Alex DeMint, Wilson Burchett, and Will Seitz in Informational Speaking; Audrey Goatley and Charity Hoffman, Maya Steward and Mallori Murray, and Izzy Whitesell and Natalie Bruce in Duo Interpretation; Perry Allison, Izzy Whitesell, and  Crayton Thorell in Dramatic Interpretation; Ella Simpson, Cynthia Lozano, and Aden Williams in Humorous Interpretation; Wyatt Wilkinson and Alex DeMint in Poetry; Lily Coppenhaver in Storytelling; and Micah George in Radio Speaking.

Students competed in their first tournament of the season in Nevada on Saturday, Nov. 11. Bringing home trophies were Wilson Burchett, Wyatt Wilkinson, Audrey Goatley, Charity Hoffman and Perry Allison (President). The group was accompanied by Assistant Coach Destiny Kelley.
