Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests and Reports

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of January 2, 2024 through January 8, 2024

January 2, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to Southeast TT Highway in Osceola for a report of a burglary. Items stolen include a Ruger 357 revolver, older style trunks full of family heirlooms, several black totes with yellow lids, three saddles, and other miscellaneous items.

January 3, 2024- St. Clair County deputies arrested Whitney Woods at the Greene County Jail on St. Clair County warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance and an Osceola Police Department warrant for Possession Drug Paraphernalia. Bond is $15,000 cash surety and $250 cash only.

January 3, 2024- St. Clair County deputies received a call from Juvenile Officer with information regarding sexual misconduct involving child under 15. Investigation is ongoing.

January 3, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to Northeast 82 Highway in Osceola for found property. Owner was contacted and property was returned.

January 3, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to South 14th Street in Collins for a medical. Subject was transported to CMH in Bolivar.

January 3, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to highway 13 to assist a motorist. Vehicle had a flat tire. While waiting for tow truck, the registration of the vehicle was checked and the return indicated it was a stolen vehicle. Owner of vehicle was notified and given information of where to pick up the vehicle.

January 4, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to Highway TT in Osceola in regards to a civil matter. Reporting party wanted to make a report.

January 4, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to Northeast Highway 82 in Osceola for a burglary. Deputies arrested John Wood for Trespassing-2nd Degree and Property Damage-2nd Degree with charges pending.

January 5, 2024- St. Clair County deputies arrested Janie Tindall at the Henry County Jail on a Probation and Parole warrant for Probation Violation. No bond.

January 5, 2024-St. Clair County deputies arrested Richard O’Connor at the Audrian County Jail on a St. Clair County warrant for Domestic Assault and Resisting Arrest. Bond is $5,000 cash only.

January 5, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to Northeast 1176 Road in Deepwater for a structure fire. Reporting party had fire extinguished before deputies and fire department arrived on scene.

January 5, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to Southeast TT Highway for a report of threats with firearm. Suspects left the scene and after a short pursuit, deputies were able to detain three subjects. Jeffery Fensom was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest/Detention/Stop by Fleeing-Creating a Substantial Risk of Serious Injury/Death to Any Person, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.  Lance Spencer was arrested and is being charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- Amphetamine or Methamphetamine, and Assault 1st Degree or Attempt- Serious Physical Injury or Special Victim. Dani Spencer was arrested and is being charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- Amphetamine or Methamphetamine.

January 7, 2024- St. Clair County deputies responded to South 14th Street in Collins for a medical. Subject was transported to CMH in Bolivar.

January 7, 2024-St. Clair County deputies responded to Dollar General in Osceola in regards to an attempt to steal. Suspect left before deputies arrived. Investigation is ongoing.

January 8, 2024-St. Clair County deputies arrested Kristin Klinger at the Greene County Jail on a St. Clair County warrants for Failure to Appear-Exceed Posted Speed (16-19 MPH) and Failure to Appear-Driving While Suspended-1st Degree. Bond is $625 cash only.
