The El Dorado Springs track team loaded the bus on Friday, April 5 to head to Pittsburg, KS for the 35th Annual Jock’s Nitch/PSU Gorilla Relays 2024.  This is a pretty decent size track meet with schools from Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas attending.  The weather ended up being pretty nice, in the upper 60’s to low 70’s with little wind.  Overall, a great day for competition.

On the girls side, Sophomore, McKinli Mays finished 4th in the 400 m. dash with a season best time of 1:00.37 and then finished 2nd in the triple jump with a jump of 34’8.25”.  Junior Audrey Goatley, finished 6th in the 1600 m. run with a season best time of 5:39.83 and then went on to finish 5th in the 3200 m. run with a season best time of 12:20.45.  Kalen Post finished 8th in the 100 m.
