Pastor Connie Locke and Jeanie O’Brien from the Schell City United Methodist Church attended Missouri United Methodist annual conference at the Expo Center at Springfield from Thursday night, June 7 to Monday noon, June 11.
Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, June 10 were Jewell and Helen Ellerman and Ruth Ijams.
The Schell City/Harwood United Methodist Women will hold a sack sale Saturday, June 16, in the Schell City United Methodist Church basement on the south side of the church. It will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is $1 for all you can get in a sack. They will furnish the sacks.
John Lewis is in the Appleton City hospital. He entered on Friday, June 8. His granddaughter, Brandi Urley, of Olathe, KS, grandson, Gary Joe Dunn, of Nevada and wife, Frances, visited him.
Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, June 10. Brother Cliff Bennett’s sermon was taken from Isaiah 6:1-9.
Church service was held at the Schell City Untied Methodist Church Sunday, June 10. Gina Cripps was the guest speaker as their pastor, Connie Locke, was at the annual conference. Gina’s sermon “The Coming of the Holy Spirit” was taken from Acts 2:1-13. Sunday School was held before church. Everyone took part in the lesson “Living As God’s Just People” taken from Leviticus 19:9-18, 33-37.
