Steve Roby, retiring Cedar County Farm Bureau agent, had a fitting send off Wednesday, June 20, with a cake and punch reception at the office at 200 West Hwy. 54 in El Dorado Springs. Farm Bureau President Peggy Kenney and past presidents, Jim Jones and Erinn Bolinger, helped with the celebration along with Lolis Rosbrugh, long time board member and current treasurer.
Roby is retiring after 18 years and plans on hunting and fishing and doing nothing. Because of the company’s growth in Cedar County, a new agent, Maranda N. Taylor, was added to the local agency in October of last year.
