The Cedar County Commissioners hope to break ground at noon Thursday, July 12, on the new Cedar County Law Enforcement Facility on the lot southwest of the Cedar County Court House.
The plan is for the contract to be signed about 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, in the commission meeting room with Zahner-Hansen Construction Company for $4.35 million.
Completion of the project is set for July 2013.
The commission has appointed three citizens to the Cedar County Public Facilities Authority which will oversee the bond since no tax money is involved. The three citizens are Kirk Sibley, J. D. Stephens and Scott Burton.
