Welcome home from a great vacation

Gilbert and Eleanor Willson and Robert and Barbara Cubbage have returned from a trip through nine of the northwest states. They went to the corn palace at Mitchell, S.D., the badlands, spent three nights at Deadwood, S.D. and went to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse and saw the amazing laser light show. They spent four days in Yellowstone National Park and saw Old Faithful and went to the Buffalo Bill Museum at Cody, WY, the Tetons and Little Big Horn. Although it was 20 degrees warmer there, also, they had a good time.

Jamesetta Newman was a guest at the Schell City Baptist Church Sunday to listen to her son, Mike Newman, bring the morning message.   

Jerry and Jenise Burch celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary Friday with a trip to Joplin.

Isaiah, Elijah, Gabriel, Esther and Ruth Hallam spent the past three weeks with their grandparents, John and Patty Hallam while their parents, David and Corina Hallam went on a mission trip to Chadd, Africa.

Laura and Josh Willson, Jackson and Reid of Colleyville, TX, have spent the last two weeks at the home of her parents, Jenise and Jerry Burch and Helen Kennedy.

Wendy and Brandon Conley and Garrett and Coltin Wilson brought supper and ate with Charles and me Wednesday evening. Chuck Foreman visited us Thursday.

Jenise Burch and Helen Kennedy attended the benefit for Tim Richmond in Nevada.

Tina Taylor says it time to start planning Walker Days which will be the third weekend in September. These are the Walker Fun Days meetings for this year. Meetings will be at the Walker Pavilion at 7 p.m. Aug. 9, Aug. 23 and Sept. 6. Come and help make your community get-together the best ever.
