In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Aug 28 – Arrest: Kirk A. Davisson, 57, of Nevada, for a Vernon County warrant, charging him with sexual abuse in the second degree with a bond of $1,500. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Aug 29 – Officers responded to 206 West Cruse concerning a reported burglary. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

Officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department served a search warrant for illegal drugs at 1103 South High, after receiving information concerning illegal drug activity. Officers located a marijuana growing operation with approximately 12 plants in various stages of growth, drug paraphernalia and approximately 3 grams of methamphetamine.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of Randy Keffer, 48, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of manufacturing a controlled substance, Class B felony, possession of a controlled substance, Class D felony (meth), possession of a controlled substance, Class D felony (marijuana), keeping a public nuisance as a crime, Class E felony and possession of drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor. Officers complete a probable cause statement for these charges.  Officers received a Cedar County warrant charging Keffer with manufacture of a controlled substance, Class C felony, delivery of a controlled substance, Class C felony and possession of a controlled substance, Class D felony with a $25,000 cash bond. Keffer was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and court appearance.

Aug 30 – Officers responded to 705 South Jackson concerning a reported fraudulent use of a credit device. The investigation revealed the unauthorized use of a debt card.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

Officers responded to 135 West Spring in reference to a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a black Huffy bicycle with green rims. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Aug 31 – Arrest: Michael D. Foulk, 36, of Sheldon, for a Vernon County warrant charging him with tampering with a motor vehicle, with a$7,500 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Sept 1- Oficers responded to 109 West Hickory concerning a reported larceny and fraudulent use of a debit device.  The investigation revealed the theft of debit cards, credit cards and identifications. Also unauthorized debit and credit transactions were verified. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

Sept 2 – Arrest: Victor S. Price, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for a St. Clair County warrant charging him with driving while revoked/Suspended, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia with a $2,500 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Sept 3 – Officers responded to 312 West  54 Hwy, Woods Supermarket, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a carton of Marlboro cigarettes.  A report taken and the investigation continues.
