El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-0 loss to Sherwood on Wednesday. Sherwood scored on a double by Morgan, a single by Burkit and a single by Graef in the first inning.

Sherwood captured the lead in the first inning. Sherwood scored one run when Morgan doubled with one out in the first inning.

Sherwood scored four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Sherwood came thanks to a single by Mainard, a single by Roofener and a single by Morgan.

A single by Makenzie Melton in the second inning was a positive for El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity.

Morgan earned the win for Sherwood. She threw five innings, surrendering zero runs, one hit, striking out 13 and walking one. Allyson Snodgrass took the loss for El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity. She went five innings, allowing 12 runs, and 11 hits.

Melton went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity in hits.

Sherwood collected 11 hits. Morgan and Burkit each collected multiple hits for Sherwood. Morgan went 3-for-4 at the plate as she led the team with five runs batted in.
